Straterjee

Our work is based around helping clients solve problems. We advise the top management of leading companies on their key issues. We work on projects in teams.

Projects

While there's no such thing as a "typical" Straterjee engagement, here are some of the responsibilities that our consultants tackle.

  • Defining the problem - Work with the CEO or senior management team to figure out the problem or issue they are facing and the desired goal

  • Breaking it down - Work with the team to break the problem down into discrete parts, assign responsibilities, and develop hypotheses to provide a framework for the problem solving process

  • Understanding the business context - Interview members of the client organisation to understand how it operates, what the specific problems are and where they are, and identify data sources

  • Gathering and analysing data - Develop and refine models, analyse results, and refine hypotheses. We focus on solving the most critical parts of the problem as rapidly as possible, which may mean leaving some less important aspects unresolved

  • Making recommendations - Develop findings; evaluate possible solutions and determine recommendations; present results and recommendations to senior management

You will interact closely with your team and the client throughout the project.

Team

You will work closely with a small team of three to five people from Straterjee and typically as many again from the client. You will spend time gathering and analyzing data and problem solving with your team. Every member of the team is expected to make a significant contribution. From team problem solving sessions to client presentations, your team will look to you to actively participate by articulating your opinions, challenging findings, responding to client concerns, and presenting recommendations.
Working in a team is fun and challenging. You'll sometimes spend long hours working on hard problems. Team mates become friends. Team mates and former team mates are a key part of your support group. Almost all our teams contain client members as it is the most effective way to work. These bring an even richer mix of people together, and provide additional learning opportunities.
