This workshop focuses on setting the long range plan for your business, generating both directional clarity and a detailed action plan and targets you can deliver against. Every workshop is designed to fit your specific needs and circumstances.

Below are a selection of the exercises we often use. These workshops are best held over two days with some preparation and a follow up meeting to lock down plans. However accelerated half days or in-depth one week workshops can also be very successful.

  • Introduction and aims of workshop

  • Define terms of reference
    • Status of business (what’s going well, what needs work)
    • Business performance (analysis against targets)
    • Stakeholder perspectives (customer, team, shareholder, other)
    • Market analysis (e.g. PEST, Porters 5 forces)

  • Define strategic positioning
    • Sustainable advantage (what are your virtuous circles)
    • Customer proposition (what are you leading and competitive at)
    • People proposition (what are you leading and competitive at)
    • Draft vision (what’s the simple articulation)
    • Define target markets and key targets (who will you target?)

  • Analyse capabilities (current, required and gap fill initiatives)

  • Define delivery plan
    • Delivery plan (what will you do when)
    • Targets and KPIs (how will you measure it)

  • Summary and confirm plans
